Tatyana Chernobil is a Justice Initiative Resident Fellow working with the Central Asia program on the project on Seeking Legal Remedies for Torture in Central Asia. On a U.S. State Department Senator Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Scholarship, Tatyana received a master’s degree from the Civil and Human Rights Center of the Notre Dame University Law School, Indiana. Tatyana received her Bachelor’s in Law from the Adilet Law School in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Tatyana’s prior professional experience includes working with the OSCE Center in Almaty and the American Bar Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative (ABA CEELI) in Almaty, Kazakhstan as a human rights expert and a staff attorney respectively.
